Is your adult child (18 and older) a registered member of the parish?
If your child is no longer living in the house and you are not supporting them or they are no longer in college or your are no longer claiming them on your taxes, then they should separately registered as a member in their own standing. So I am asking that you please see that your child becomes a registered member at their friendly Catholic Church as well.
Many times I am being asked by a registered parent asking me to sign a letter verifying that their son or daughter is a registered member of our parish when in fact their child no longer lives with them and/or is no longer in college. Most of these inquiries are because there is a wedding in the plans or they are being asked to be a godparent/sponsor for a Baptism or Confirmation at another Catholic Church either within or outside our Diocese. Please register and please see that your adult child registers as well.

What is OCIA?
OCIA, also known as "The Journey," is for anyone who is interested in more information about how to become Catholic or those who have already discerned a conversion to Catholicism. The process is meant for those who have not yet been baptized or for those who have been baptized in a different Faith. For more information click on the link below.
