Our Commitment to Fiscal Responsibility
At St. Jude we do all that is possible to protect your trust in the leadership of our finances. As your Pastor I am committed, with the assistance of your Parish Finance Council members, to our continuing to be transparent in our financial records and I take pride that those members are being good stewards of the resources that are given and in the overseeing of the operation and capitol expenses that are incurred each fiscal year. As parishioners, you have access to Laurie Seybert (Business & Finance Manager) and the Finance Council members if you have questions regarding use of funds by the parish.
We use the Diocesan mandated Paycor (payroll provider) and ParishSoft (accounting platform) and are on a 3 - 5 year financial audit rotation by the Diocese. Our Finance Council meets on a monthly basis to review financial reports and gives guidance through questioning of anything that is out of the ordinary or stand in contrast with previous monthly reports. Our annual report before being submitted to the Diocese needs to be signed off on by the Chair of the Finance Council and myself and we make this annual report available to every registered household.
