Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, formerly known as Last Rites or Extreme Unction, is a ritual of healing appropriate not only for physical but also for mental and spiritual sickness.

Many times, we know well in advance from our physician/surgeon when we will be admitted to the hospital for a routine procedure or scheduled surgery.  If that is the case, keep in mind that we offer the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick every third weekend of the month after all the Masses; but please know you may ask the priest for an anointing of this blessed Sacrament at any time prior to going into the hospital.
