We are always in need of the various ministers to assist primarily at our weekend Masses but also during Funerals and Holy Days of Obligation. Please consider being a part of these vital ministries and using your gifts for the glory of God by filling out the Liturgical Ministries Enrollment Form.
Altar Servers Boys and girls (at least in the 4th grade) who assist the priest in the liturgy of the Mass. Training takes place annually for those in grade 3 and older. Servers are currently scheduled to serve on a rotating basis.
Eucharistic Ministers Eucharistic Ministers must be baptized and confirmed Catholics of the parish and participate in parish training. Ministers can be scheduled to serve with family at the Mass time of their choice.
Greeters Ministry We invite ALL parishioners to take part in individually or as a family. Greeters will be present at all Masses and special functions of the parish to welcome parishioners, newcomers and visitors and to help them become acquainted with the church and the parish. Lectors Proclaim scripture and prayers of the faithful at weekend Masses and on holy days. Lectors (12 years and older) must be members of the parish, have a strong speaking voice, and participate in parish training. Lectors may be scheduled to serve with other family members at the Mass time of their choice.
Mass Coordinators The Mass coordinator is responsible for preparing the necessary vessels, linens, hosts and wine in the sacristy prior to the celebration of weekend Masses (as well as for funerals and weddings) and cleaning and setting up for the next Mass or putting the items away. Mass coordinators may be scheduled to serve with other family at the Mass time of their choice.
Music Ministry (Musicians & Cantors) Contact the parish office 517-669-8335 for more information on the various Choirs, musical & cantor needs. Musical and voice is always needed, not only at our weekend Masses and Holy Days of Obligation, but also during funerals, and for some weddings.
Ushers Ushers (individually or as a family) also greet people coming into the Church and assist them finding seats during the weekend Masses as well as during Funerals. Primary focus is providing assistance during the Mass with taking up the collection and then handing out the bulletins after each Mass.
